Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career as an actress in the late 1980s. She became famous for Tezaab, a film starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil which she was on screen with Aamir. In the beginning, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she began to learn how to dance. While still a teenager she attempted acting, however most of those early films did not succeed. The actress gained fame and was one of the top film actresses. Following her marriage she had a career break before reentering the film industry. Recently, she played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India awarded to Dixit. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
